The Academy
The original Drink In Academy is based in the centre of Dublin, in Smithfield. The building was previously the old Dublin Brewing Company, and we’ve refitted its top floor with a fully stocked practice bar, a classroom for masterclasses and a demo bar for tastings and mixology. The space also has the feel of a proper cocktail bar, complete with lounge areas and games tables. The city centre is just a short walk away and the Smithfield area is supplied by all the major bus and tram routes for further exploration of the city.
The City
With nearly 1000 pubs and bars, Dublin is the perfect place to learn about drinks and drinks culture. From traditional pubs to modern cocktail bars, there is more to taste and explore than you could ever manage in one go. The city is also brimming with distilleries and breweries to visit, including the famous old Jameson Distillery and the Guinness Factory. As the capital city of Ireland, Dublin is full of Irish history and culture, with fantastic galleries and museums to tour, as well as direct bus and train routes to visit the rest of the country.
